This session almost didn’t happen. Erica was due mid-October, so we scheduled her photo shoot in hope of catching the Autumn foliage in her outdoor maternity photography session. Mommy was feeling under the weather the week of the photo session, so we rescheduled it to a week later. The foliage had barely started to turn and I was worried we’d have to move the shoot indoors and miss out on the awesome outdoor pictures. The temperature of the previous week was not very promising. Perfect condition for ice wine making, but not for outdoor maternity photo sessions. Luckily, the new date was perfect.
I had a super model. Mommy-to-be was amazingly easy going and open to different ideas. I love that piercing look when I asked her to give me fearless.
The weather was sublime, partly sunny and cloudy. It made it more challenging for taking photos; the constant lighting changes meant that I had to constantly keep an eye on the photos I took and change my settings accordingly, but it also gave me more diverse and interesting images. With the warm wind, we got some amazingly dramatic flowing maternity dress shots. Erica really rocked this shoot and gave a new meaning to Fearless Photography.
And guess what? Within a week, Erica gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Congratulations Erica! Enjoy these precious moments!
